What does a URL to PDF API do?

You give it a web page link, and it turns that page into a PDF. The API sends back the file, or a link where you can download it. It’s handy for saving reports, invoices, dashboards and confirmation pages as PDFs, with no printing and no piecing each one together manually.

How do I turn a web page into a PDF?

Three steps. Get the web page ready, send its URL to the API along with your chosen settings, then download or share the PDF you get back. Most PDFs are done in about 2 seconds, so it is fast.

Does it work with pages that load content through JavaScript?

It does. The API supports JavaScript rendering, which means dynamically loaded content, dashboards and charts included, shows up in the PDF as well. One condition matters here: the page has to be public or properly authorised, because the API needs to be able to reach it.

How much control do I have over the PDF layout?

Quite a lot. You can set the page size, margins and orientation, and add a header, footer and page numbers. Custom CSS is supported too. That’s useful if you need to hide an element or tweak the layout for the PDF version only.

Is there a free way to try it?

Yes. Create an account without a credit card and you can start right away. The free plan includes 50 PDFs a month, which is plenty to test the process on your own pages. A paid plan is available once your needs grow. Zapier, Make and n8n integrations also keep the workflow no-code.
